Fifty years in the making
In 1973, Ivan Dim discovered an old vineyard spanning 22 acres outside the Village of Jordan. Ivan felt an immediate connection to the land and decided to embark on a journey reminiscent of his childhood in the old country. For the next two decades, Ivan replanted the Jordan vineyard with European Vinifera varieties – the same cherished vines he carefully nurtured as a child in his father’s hillside vineyards in Slovenia.
Nestled on the shores of ancient Lake Iroquois, the vineyard is blessed with limestone-rich soils. This gift from nature, combined with the area’s climate, situated on the 43rd parallel creates an ideal environment for cultivating exceptional wines.
His unwavering passion and commitment have enabled us to establish a vineyard that, after more than 50 years, continues to yield wines of unparalleled quality and character.
